What began as a personal teaching experience has evolved into a focused approach to real-world English. We’re proud of the journey so far and motivated by what lies ahead.

Meet the Founder

I’m Sam Gardiner, originally from Cambridge, UK, and an alumnus of Hills Road Sixth Form College. With a strong interest in teaching across various disciplines, from academic tutoring to sports coaching and music instruction, I’ve developed a flexible, learner-focused approach to education. Teaching in Mumbai revealed how formal classroom English fails to prepare students for natural conversation. This realisation became the seed for TELL Education.

Background & Motivation

The idea for TELL Education emerged in early 2025 while I was teaching in Mumbai. Local classrooms emphasised formal English and exam preparation, leaving students unprepared for informal or culturally nuanced conversations. I found that learners could follow a “script,” but struggled when conversations deviated from expected patterns. TELL Education was created to teach adaptable, practical language skills that work in English-speaking societies.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic English and real communication. We prioritise:

  • Communication over perfection: helping learners speak naturally and comfortably.

  • Practical outcomes over qualifications: focusing on fluency and confidence rather than textbook grammar alone.

Teaching English Internationally

We recognise that learners come from diverse backgrounds. Our lessons are designed with cultural sensitivity and adaptability in mind, ensuring students can communicate clearly and confidently with native and non-native speakers alike.
